Fort Cobb, Oklahoma November 6, 1920 December 9, 1853 ~ November 6, 1920 William Edmond Eddy was born in Mississippi December 9, 1853, and died at his home near Fort Cobb, Okla at 10 am Saturday, November 6, 1920, of paralysis, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 28 days. He was married to Emily E. Bennett on August 23, 1870. To this union were born nine children, five girls and four boys, seven of whome are still living. Two died in childhood. Mr Eddy united with the M. E. church at the age of 50 years, and has lived a consecrated Christian life ever since. He was a devoted husband and a kind and loving father. He leaves a vacant place that can never be filled. Besides his wife and children he leaves one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Burial was at Alden, Okla. November 7, 1920. The funeral service was preached by Rev J. J. Kirk |
