Oklahoma Friday, March 29, 2013 November 17, 1971 ~ June 9, 2016 Ray R. Metz was born on November 17, 1971 in OKC,OK to Wesley Ray and Sonja Lynn [Gregory] Metz. He passed away on June 9, 2016 at the age of 44. Ray graduated from Binger High School and attended Redlands Community College in El Reno, OK, He also attended Caddo-Kiowa Vo-Tech and received his certification in 6-G Welding and had his CDL license. Ray worked as a welder in the oilfield and drove a truck for farmers CO-OP in Eakly. He loved fishing and playing horseshoes. With his fishing, he never had the heart to kill the fish; he would always turn them back. Ray served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the Binger Baptist Church and had accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Survivors Include: his children, Dalton Ray Metz and Emilee Hope Metz, one grandson on the way, his brother, Lauren Alan Metz and wife Danielle of Binger, OK, his family that raised him, Jeannie and Chalkie Opitz and Don and Gayle Jennings, a close brother, Greg Jennings, 2 nieces, Kodi Metz and Myla Metz, close sousins, Devinee Jennings, Seth and McKenna Opitz, Ross Opitz, Aunts and Uncles: Melody Perkins, Cathy Stockton, Fairy Holdge, Ronny and Cheryl, and Leslie Metz, as well as numerous cousins, many other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Metz and Sonja Metz, and his grandparents.
