Sterlin E. Hooker
November 7, 1904 ~ April 15, 1977


S.E. Hooker Service Held

Funeral services were last Sunday in the First Baptist church at Fort Cobb for Sterlin E. Hooker, 72, of rural Fort Cobb, who died April 15 in a Chickasha hospital.

Rev. Jimmy McAllister, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Albert cemetery.

Hooker, a retired farmer, was born at Nashville, Ark., November 7, 1904. He came to Caddo county when he was 16 and had lived here since.

He married Bertha Sisk April 17, 1930, at Albert. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist church.

Survivors include his widow, Bertha, of the home; his mother, Sarah Alice Hooker of rural Fort Cobb; three nephews, Donald and Derwin Elliott of Dallas, and Donavan Elliott of Santa Anna, Calif., and a niece, Mrs. Karen Swanda of Enid.
