© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, October 31, 1951 Lillie Lamaria [Martin] Bryson March 29, 1870 ~ ctober 25, 1951 Mrs. Bryson Dies At Home in Albert After Long Illness Albert, Oct. 29.-- Services for Mrs. M.D. Bryson, 81, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Albert Baptist church. Rev. Jack Stuart and Rev. John Quickle conducted the services with the Harvey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Albert cemetery. Mrs. Bryson died at 9 p.m. Thursday at her home in Albert after a long illness. Mrs. Bryson was born in Benton county, Ark., March 29, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Z.T. Martin. She was married to W.D. Bryson Aug. 25, 1889 in Mansfield, Texas. Mr. Bryson and two daughters preceded her in death. Mrs. Bryson came to Albert in 1908 and lived here until her death. She was a member of the Alfalfa Baptist church. Survivors are five sons, Clark D., Jennings; Clyde S., Sanger, Calif.; Newton,Albert; Taylor, Richmond, Calif., and Troy, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle E. Henry, Fort Cobb, and Mrs,. Pearl Alexander, Eunice, N.M.; three brothers, W.L. Martin, Fort Cobb; R.D. Martin, Fort Worth, and Albert J. Martin, Bowie, Texas, and three sisters, Mrs. M.J. Baker, Temple; Mrs. Emily Grimsley, Kennedale, Texas, and Mrs. T.H. Morgan, Shamrock, Texas. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. |

Bryson Are Held At Oney Funeral services for W.N. Bryson, 65-year-old retired Oney farmer, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Oney Baptist church with Rev. Dois Nix, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Oney cemetery. Bryson died Monday, November 4, of an apparent heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Repp, northwest of Fort Cobb. Native of Texas, he had been a resident of the Oney community since 1906. He was married to the former Miss Beulah McKee in 1922 at Antlers, Okla. Seven children were born to them. Two sons preceded him in death. He was a member of the Oney Baptist church. He is survived by the wife of the home; one son, Wallace Bryson, Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Preston Hawkins and Mrs. Repp, Fort Cobb, Mrs. Grace McClosky and Mrs. Berneice Parduhn, both of Norman; four brothers, Clark of Jennings, Okla., Clyde and Taylor, of Sanger, Calif., and Troy, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Henry, Binger, and Mrs. Pearl Alexander, Eunice, N.M.; 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including Frank Bryson, Caddo county assessor. |
