Marty Smith a resident of Yuba, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, December 25th, 2020 in Yuba, Oklahoma at the age of 62. Marty was born to Dwight Lindbergh and Peggy (Gibbs) Smith on August 7th, 1958 in Bonham, Texas. Marty was a railroad man and he loved his Union family and was looking forward to retiring in 2021. #solidarity. Marty worked as a machine operator for the Engineering Department For Maintenance of Way of the Union Pacific Railroad. Marty was also a avid rancher who loved his cattle. In his spare time Marty was a pilot who enjoyed flying. Marty is survived by his brother, Terry Smith of Yuba, Oklahoma. Sister, Michelle Smith Osborn of Calera, Oklahoma. Niece and nephews, Brandon Smith, Joshua Osborn, Jessica Osborn, and Joel Smith, along with five great nieces. Marty is preceded in death by his parents Dwight Lindbergh (Lindy) and Peggy (Gibbs) Smith. Graveside service for Marty Smith will be, 2:00pm Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Yarnaby Cemetery in Yarnaby, Oklahoma with Brother Michael Moody and Marty Hutchings officiating. Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. www.holmescoffeymurray.com
