Beatrice McDonald a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 84 years 7 months and 9 days. She was born in Yarnaby , Oklahoma to Edward William and Gracie Mae (Smith) Large on Thursday, July 25, 1929. Beatrice Large married Cleo Gene McDonald in Durant, Oklahoma.
Beatrice was one of those rare individuals who showed love for her family by sewing all their clothes. She enjoyed the quiet, peaceful pastime of fishing when she wasn't tending her garden and canning the abundance of vegetables she harvested.
Mrs. McDonald is survied by her daughters, Arlene Kay Brentley of Wilcox, Oklahoma and Lee Annette McDonald of Mead, Oklahoma; son, Clinton Brent McDonald of Mead, Oklahoma; sisters, Sharon Rains of Durant, Oklahoma, Peggy Remedies of Morgan Town, Kentucky and Caroline Large of Durant, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McDonald was prededed in death by her parents, Edward and Gracie Large; husband, Cleo McDonald; sons, Garg Don McDonald, Clayton McDonald and Tommy McDonald; daughter, Melvinia Barnhart; brother, Edward Large; sister, Eritha Lynn.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel. Interment will follow at Yarnaby Cemetery in Yarnaby , Oklahoma.
