Rainer "Red" Large, Jr. 68 of Durant, Oklahoma passed away Monday morning April 9, 2018 at his home. He was born Tuesday September 20, 1949 in Yarnaby, Oklahoma to Ranier and Tiny Mae Howery Large, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brothers Bobby and Doyle Large and Sister Linda Rhoades.
Surviving is his Wife Scherina, Daughters Sheila, Shelly, Stacy, Reona and Sarah. Sister Lois Neely, Numerous Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Reds passion was working on cars. He served in Vietnam recieving many citations including a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Sharp Shooter (M16, M14), Combat Infantry, Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense, Army Commendation, and a letter of memory from President Nixon. Red will be missed by all that knew & loved him.
A Funeral Service for Ranier (Red) Large, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon April 13, 2018 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert with Brother Joe Beshirs officiating. Military Honors will be preformed by the Patriot Riders. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com
