Roseann Hamby Johnston, 70, of Burneyville, OK passed away on Thursday, March 5, 202 in Ardmore, Ok. Roseann was born January 11, 1950 in Bonham, TX to Glenn Troy Hamby and Rose Ann (Smith) Hamby. Roseann graduated from Yuba High School and attended Cook County College. She worked at Johnson & Johnson then at Mercy Hospital in Marietta until her retirement. Roseann married Jeff Johnston in Denison, TX on December 31, 2000 and they made their home in Burneyville, OK. She enjoyed traveling, her grandkids, and watching Hunter’s sports.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Glenn Harold Hamby, Norman Jefferson Hamby, and Billy Joe Hamby.

Roseann is survived by her husband Jeff and son Hunter of the home, daughter Lori Ann Price and husband Steven of Bonham, TX, step-daughter Amerie Michelle Johnston of Raleigh NC, three sisters Juanita Miller of Yuba, OK, Louise Murphy of Ravenna, OK, and Doris Durham and husband Perry of Bonham, TX, one brother Earnest Hamby and wife Glenda of Yuba, OK. She is also preceded by three grandchildren that she adored Derek Price, Jessica Price, and Harley Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 with DeWayne Johnston officiating. Family hour will be from 7-8PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Interment will follow at Yarnaby Cemetery in Yarnaby, OK.
