Donnie Wayne Dukes, age 62, of Durant, OK, passed away on August 13, 2014, at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, TX. He was born on March 21, 1952 to Lawrence and Mary Carter Dukes in Oklahoma City, OK. He married Jo Driskell on March 13, 1987 in Florida. He worked in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Jo, his mother, Mary Beshires of Durant, OK, children, Jason Dukes, Shawn Dukes, Christopher, two sisters, Pam Welborn of Mississippi, Judy Brown of Durant, OK, four brothers, Lawrence Dukes of OK City, Ricky Dukes, of OK City, Sammy Dukes of Durant, OK, Vernon Dukes of Duncan, OK, several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death are his father, two brothers, David Dukes and Jimmy Dukes.
Services will be held at Yarnaby , OK, cemetery August 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the pavilion. Interment will follow.
Family and friends visitation will be at 10 a.m., prior to the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of American Funeral Service, Colbert, OK.
