Edward Coker a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the age of 82. He was born in Pirtle, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 19, 1934 to Benjamin Farris and Leona (Riddle) Coker.

Edward was a lifelong resident of Bryan County. He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Edward spent his adult life as an Elementary Teacher. He had a compassionate heart and loved his dogs and all animals in general.

Mr. Coker is survived by his sister, Shirley Webb-Clark of Durant, Oklahoma; nephews, Bobby Webb of Durant, Oklahoma and Dennis Webb of Carrollton, Texas; great-nephew, Brandon Webb of Durant, Texas; and many special cousins.

Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Leona Coker.

Private services will be held for family only on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Yarnaby Cemetery in Yarnaby, Oklahoma.

Friends and family are welcome to go to Shirley Webb-Clarks home, 904 W Elm, for visitation anytime.
