David Ray Burden 88, of Hendrix, Oklahoma passed away Thursday morning January 30, 2020 at the Southern Pointe Living Center in Colbert, Oklahoma where he made his home with his family, his Pastor Mike Moody and his hospice family at his side.

He was born August 28, 1931 in Orangeville, Texas on a hot summer day to Lawrence and Lenora Hefner Burden, Sr. He was the youngest of 5 Children Archie Burden, Lawrence Burden, Jr. Geneva Lee Covert and Francis Stockton who all preceded him in death as well as his parents.

He Married Margie Bonn the love of his life and they were married for many many wonderful years when she left this world. He and Margie had no Children but they did raise wonderful fur babies which they dearly loved. David loved to sing and done that every time he had the chance, which was all the time.

David had numerous nieces and nephews he left behind. I will leave it with a song title that I remember David always singing besides his gospel songs he loved to sing. HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN...REST IN PEACE DAVID RAY BURDEN GONE BUT NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN..

.A Memorial Graveside Service for David Ray Burden will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Morning February 29, 2020 at the Yarnaby Cemetery with his Pastor Mike Moody officiating. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com
