Curtis Bruner Sr. a resident of Hendrix, Oklahoma passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the age of 94 years 7 months and 19 days. He was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma on October 24, 1919 to George and Carrie (McGourick) Bruner.
Mr. Bruner is survived by his sons, Curtis Bruner Jr. and wife Rita of Hendrix, Oklahoma, Ronald Bruner and wife Barbara of Kingfisher, Oklahoma and Timothy Bruner of Ivanhoe, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bruner was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Bruner; wife, Ima Jean; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; daughter-in-laws, Linda and Patricia Bruner.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5-6:00 PM on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Yarnaby Assembly of God Church in Yarnaby , Oklahoma with Rev. Ronald Bruner officiating.
Interment will follow at the Yarnaby Cemetery. The pallbearers will be David Bruner, Steven Bruner, Christopher Bruner, Nickolaus Bruner, Anthony Cable and Jason Fondren, Sr. The honorary pallbearers will be Jay Cross, Jason Fondren, Jr., Ryan Cross and Ryan Totter.
