Dorothy Jean Toney, 78, of Utica, Oklahoma passed away on November 22, 2022, in Calera, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born on June 5, 1944, in Durant, Oklahoma to Loyd and Nettie Mae (Smith) Anderson. Dorothy married Jesse Toney on June 5, 1959, and they were blessed with two daughters, Donna, and Linda. Dorothy and Jesse were married for 56 years until his passing on September 12, 2015. She was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and crafts.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Mike Anderson and brother in laws Billy Joe Toney and Willie Pruitt.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Donna Hood and husband Jeff of Pottsboro, TX and Linda Toney of Utica, OK; sisters Shirley Pruitt of Calera, OK and Carolyn Key and husband Jimmy of Colbert, OK and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2022, at Browns Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Steven Alexander will officiate. Interment will follow in Wolfe Creek Cemetery in Utica, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
