Raymond Darrel Dickerson was born on December 23, 1940 in Wade, Oklahoma the only child of Roy M. and Jewel Fuller Dickerson and passed from this life on March 6, 2014 at his home at the age 73.
Born and raised in Wade, Raymond moved to different parts of the country working for the Forestry Service. He moved back to Bryan county in the 80's and later married Ruth Fread Frost on November 6, 1996.
Raymond continued working as a painter, carpenter and roofer. He was a talented artist and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents. Roy and Jewel Dickerson and son. Corey Dickerson.
Raymond is survived by his loving and devoted wife. Ruth Dickerson of the home; son. Kevin Dickerson and wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, step children, Bill Frost and wife Gloria of Mead, Carla Cain of Columbus, Texas and Charley Frost and wife Sandy of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, James Peterson, John Frost, Josh Frost, Steven Frost, Chris Frost, Crystal McDaniels, Madison Laird, Katey Cain and Leslie Cain; great grandchildren, Lillie Peterson, Lillie McDaniels, Angus Peterson and Cameron Ray; sister in law, Sue McDaniel and other extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Wade Cemetery.
His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis and Nathan Schneider.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
