Leslie Dawn Calhoun, age 54, entered the arms of Jesus on April 21, 2025. Leslie was born to Joe and Merideth "Joan" Calhoun in Durant, Oklahoma on June 23, 1970. She graduated from Bennington High School in 1988. Leslie was a natural-born singer and performer she loved singing all music but she thoroughly enjoyed country and praise, and worship music, and she knew her talent was a gift from God. She sang on the praise and worship team at her church, The Rawhide Cowboy Church. Leslie also had a heart full of adventure, she enjoyed going to The Scarborough fair. She loved traveling to Costa Rica with family and friends. She was a huge OU football fan. Leslie loved spending time with family, gardening, and fishing. And she loved her chow dog Boo.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother "Joan" Meredith (Canard) Calhoun, her fiance' J R Williamson, and her grandparents Emmett and Francile Canard and W.E. and Pearl Calhoun.
Left to cherish her memories are her father, Joe Calhoun. Her aunt Brenda Phillips and husband Bobby of Bennington. Her uncle Don Calhoun of Wade, as well as multiple cousins. She also leaves behind so many special friends including Rene Engluett, Lori Kirk, Kim Minyard, and Brenda. Aaron Stephens and wife Leona of Marietta and Jeff Davis.
Funeral services are set for Monday, April 28th at 2:00 PM at Brown's Durant Funeral Service with burial to follow, Wade Cemetery in Wade, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Durant. Services will be officiated by pastor Ryan Perry. Serving as pallbearers are: John Dellinger, Tommy Dellinger, Todd Dellinger, Bret Dellinger, Bobby Phillips, and Joe Stephens. Honorary pallbearer: Justin Dellinger.
