Deborah Kay Simmons, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday May 15, 2017, at the age of 63 years 7 months and 13 days. She was born on October 2, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma to Marion J. and Lucille (Stroud) Spicer.

Deborah was employed by the Durant Postal Service for 20 years. She graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. Deborah liked genealogy, collecting gemstones, she loved horses, and working with her church.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her son, Jason Simmons and wife Kailynn of Sherman, Texas; daughter, Megan Millington and husband Trent of Utah; grandchildren, Drue Simmons, Devin Simmons, Chelesa Simmons, Aubrie Simmons, Adalyn Simmons, Caiden Jones, Chayse Jones, all of Sherman, Texas, Brianna Steinfort-Springer, Sierra Steinfort-Springer, of Austin, Texas, Tyler John Millington, Jacelyn Lucille Millington, and Noah Trent Millington of Utah; and great-granddaughter, Brylee Simmons.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Lucille Spicer; brother, Dr. Pat Spicer; and sister, Sue Green.

Interment will be at 9:30 AM Friday at the Simmons-Spicer family cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will follow at 10:00 AM Friday May 19, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Durant, Oklahoma.
