Sharon White, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, and great grandmother passed from this earthly life on August 19, 2021, at the age of 78. She was born in Broken Arrow, OK to Chester and Virgie Medlin on June 9, 1943. Sharon married her cherished husband Doyle in Durant, OK on January 27, 1992.
Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Monday August 23rd at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, OK. A chapel service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday August 24th at the chapel with Rev. Scott Stimson officiating. Her final resting place will be the Restland Cemetery in Silo, OK with Mike Tollett, Bill Tollett, Zack Tollett, Johnny Jones, Jimmy Mincher, and Nick Finley as pallbearers, with Jason Wright, Hank Nesbitt, and Brad Johnson as the honorary pallbearers.
Sharon worked as a waitress and hostess. She owned and operated two different restaurants and was considered an excellent cook. Sharon was of the non-denominational faith. Her considerate nature moved her to send christmas cards, anniversary cards, and birthday cards to those she cared about. She loved to find new recipes and watching her soaps on TV.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Doyle of the home, sons, Mark Finley and wife Diane of Earle, Arkansas, Bill Tollett of Durant, OK, Mike Tollett and wife Trish of Kingston, OK, Raymond Finley and wife Laura of Durant, OK, daughter, Dede Sanders Mincher and husband Jimmy of Durant, OK, Sharon's dog, “Smidget” of Durant, OK, mother-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Durant, OK (Sharon called her “Mom”), 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Chester Medlin, brothers, Kenneth Medlin and Glen Medlin, sister, Jake and Norma Ruth Salisbury, and father-in-law, John Larry Martin.
