Rhonda Rickenbacker, of Caddo, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2024, at the age of 61. Born on January 5, 1963, in Wasco, California to Dennis Bearden and Barbara (Munnerlyn) Smith, Rhonda's life was marked by love and creativity. Her presence will be deeply missed.
Rhonda was a hard worker, dedicating hours of her time working at Gamco Manufacturing in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a creative spirit and found joy in gardening, tending to her plants, crocheting, sewing, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Rhonda was a member of the Church of Christ. She was known to love her family and plants the most.
Her legacy lives on in her adoring family. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Young, and son-in-law, Justin, of Thackerville, Oklahoma; her son, Justin Bearden, of Houston, Texas; her treasured grandchildren, Cohen, Harlow, and River Young; her loving mother, Barbara Smith, of Caddo, Oklahoma; and her sister, Jackie Bearden, of Caddo, Oklahoma. Her nephew, Kaleb King, and his wife, Opal, of Calera, also hold dear memories of Rhonda. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, Harley Smith, and her sister, Tina King.
A celebration of her life will be held graveside in the pavilion at Restland Cemetery in Silo with Benny Arnott officiating the service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024.
