Ricky Darrell Bryant of Durant passed away on Sunday, June 07, 2020 at the Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 1 day. Ricky was born in Cobb, Oklahoma on July 07, 1949 to the late Troy Bryant & Ruth (Buckmast) Bryant.
Ricky Darrell Bryant of Durant passed away on Sunday, June 07, 2020 at the Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 1 day. Ricky was born in Cobb, Oklahoma on July 07, 1949 to the late Troy Bryant & Ruth (Buckmast) Bryant.
Ricky was raised in the Durant area where he attended and graduated high school. Upon graduating high school, Ricky enrolled at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he obtained his bachelors degree in Electronics. Ricky worked for Texas Instruments as an Electronic Engineer until he retired. Ricky was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served his country faithfully for 4 years.
Ricky met & married Ann (Arnold) on December 5, 1970 in Durant after just 3 dates, he mailed Ann's ring to her from Newport, RI. That union would last 49 wonderful years.
Some of the things that Ricky enjoyed were, hunting, racing racecars, & motorcycles. Ricky loved spending time with his family, Ricky adored his granddaughters, they had him "Wrapped Around their Finger", he will be missed by all who knew him. Ricky was the best husband in the world to Ann. Ricky was a member of The River Church in Durant.
Ricky is survived by: Wife: Ann Bryant; Son: Darren Bryant; Brothers: Jerry Bryant, Roy Bryant, Tony Bryant; Sister: Debbie Portman; Granddaughter: Nicole Bryant.
Ricky was preceded in death by: Parents: Troy & Ruth Bryant; Brothers: Terry Bryant, Troy Bryant, JR., and Granddaughter: Robin Bryant
At the request of Ricky, the family selected cremation. Memorial services to honor his life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10 am at The River Church located at 1280 Mockingbird Lane in Durant. Inurnment will follow at Silo Cemetery.
