Agnes Juanita Blankenship McDonald Wester lived her life surrounded by friends and family.

A service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cunningham Funeral Chapel, Achille, for Agnes Juanita Blankenship Wester, 76, Hendrix. She left behind those who loved her Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Texoma Medical Center. The Rev. Roger Speers of Kemp Baptist Church will officiate.

She was born May 30, 1927, in Liberty, to Alvin Lewis and Lois Walton Blankenship, and was a lifelong resident of Bryan county.

She attended Kemp Schools and was a longtime member of Kemp Church of Christ.

She married Clarence McDonald in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She later married Doyle Wester.

She worked for many years at the Cotton Mill, for Levi and Yellow Jacket Boat Company, Denison, and was a home health worker before she retired.

Everyone who knew her remembers a woman who lived life to the fullest. She was a woman who took an interest in people.

She loved to cook, garden and visit with neighbors. She never let anyone leave her home hungry.

She lived most of her life in Hendrix, except for a short time in Sherman, Texas. Neighbors quickly became friends and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In her younger days, she enjoyed traveling. She spent time with family in Pennsylvania, and visited New York and Canada.

She spent many hours gardening, preserving food and listening to the radio.

She had a strong love of family and of God and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edna Earl Knickle.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy McDonald and wife Donna of Hendrix; daughters, Judy O'Boyle and husband Eddie of Colbert, Lana Hill of Hendrix, Brenda Perryman and husband Mike of Achille; brother, James Blankenship of Hendrix; sisters, Connie Stubbs of Colbert and Faye Reynolds of Denison; grandchildren, Rickie Rencher and wife Jennifer of Cartwright, Randy Rencher and wife Janet of McKinney, Texas, Erica Burns of Stillwater, Cody Perryman of Achille, Monica Wakefield and husband Keith, Marcella Perry and April Anderson, all of Colbert, Eddie O'Boyle Jr. of Sherman, Jeana McDonald and husband Terry of Hendrix, Jana Willy and husband Mike of Sadler, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Achille, with pallbearers Eddie O'Boyle, Rickie Rencher, Randy Rencher, Cody Perryman, Tony Knickle, Aaron Wakefield and Keith Wakefield.

Family hour is 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cunningham's Achille Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
