Charles Underwood passed away peacefully at his residence in Yarnaby Oklahoma on the morning of February 5, 2021. He was born to Christopher John Underwood and Beatrice Turner Underwood on May 21, 1941 in Durant OK. Charles grew up in the Silo and Durant area where he met and married Meriel Clymore on April 19, 1963 in Yarnaby, OK. They spent 57 years together and had one daughter, Diana Underwood Chloupek.

Charles was a husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a wonderful friend to many others. Charles was a Montgomery Wards service technician for over 30 years. Charles was a true Mr. fix it. He could fix your washer, your roof, and he could even fix you up the best homemade pizza on this side of the Red River, but what he will be remembered for most is how he mended the broken hearts of so many. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and he was so loved, and his family feels blessed to have had him in their lives for so many beautiful years. He will be deeply missed by all.

Charles is survived by his wife Meriel Underwood of Yarnaby Ok, daughter Diana Chloupek and husband Jeff of Yarnaby, OK, grandson Bradley Southard and Wife Ashton of Yarnaby, OK, granddaughter Lacie McGill and husband Justin of Yarnaby, OK, granddaughter Whitney Scott and husband Colten of Davis, OK, granddaughter Amber Sath and husband Dan of Carrolton, TX, granddaughter Sarah Chloupek of Yarnaby OK, grandson Jeffrey Chloupek and Nature of Durant, OK, and Carman Chloupek and husband Eric Abner of Plano, TX. Great grandchildren Jace, Joanie, Jaeger of Yarnaby, OK, Journey, Brenda, Haylee, JoJo of Yarnaby, OK, Danielle of Fredrick, OK, Cameryn, Juno, Jack of Carrolton, TX Great-Great granddaughter Mackenzie of Yarnaby, OK, sister Fay Gibbins of Denton, TX, Barbara Gore, brother William Underwood Fargo, ND and Jimmy Underwood of Durant, Ok, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles is proceeded in death by both parents and several siblings. Pallbearers; Bradley Southard, David Holt, Justin McGill, Colten Johns, Kevin Holt, and Jordan Caceres.

Family night is Monday February 8, 2021 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, OK from 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, OK on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at 2pm. Roger Speers will officiate.
