Vernice “Bruno” Swindle of Rockwall, Texas, former Durant resident, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Rockwall, Texas at the age of 73 years 1 month and 27 days. He was born on Thursday, May 5, 1938 in Yuba, Oklahoma.
Bruno served in the United States Army. He worked as a sheet metal worker. Mr. Swindle was of the Baptist faith.
His survivors include son, Kenneth Swindle of Forney, Texas; daughter, Beverly McCord and husband Carl of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Billy McCord and wife Priscilla of Rowlett, Texas, Shannon McCord of Rockwall, Texas and Alyssa Swindle of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Trenton Vrzak, Lake McCord and Alexia Bibb
. Mr. Swindle was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Services for Mr. Swindle will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma with Rev. Kerry Groce officiating. Burial will be in the Rosewood Cemetery.
