Harold Edward Shrum 79, of Achille, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday afternoon November 3, 2021, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born December 27, 1941, in Bennington, Oklahoma to Ray and Irene Minyard Shrum. He was educated in Durant schools and has lived in Achille for the past 45 years. He worked for many years for W.J. Smith making railroad ties for the Katy Railroad and was also a brick layer.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Jane Shrum, Brother John Shrum and Nephew David Shrum.
Survivors include son Ronnie Shoemake and wife Betty and Daughter Kim Meade all of Achille. Brothers Jessie Ray Shrum of Denison, TX, Ernest Shrum of Sumner, TX, Charlie Shrum of Bonham, TX, Richard Shrum of Honey Grove, TX, Lloyd and Jerry Shrum both of Denison, TX, Jessie Lee Shrum of Barnhart and Arthur Ray Shrum of Hinton, OK. Sisters Juanita Pender of Kenefic, OK and Mary Ann Shrum of Durant, OK. Grandkids Josh Little and wife Miranda, Ashleigh South and Caleb Shoemake. Great-Grandkids Taven Heath, Isley Little, Quinn Littleand Raelee South. Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A Graveside Service for Harold Shrum will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday Afternoon November 8, 2021, at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma with Reverend Anthony Williams
officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Shrum, Danny Shrum, Tommy Shrum, Chad Shrum, Clint Shrum and Dylan Shrum. Family hours will be held from 3-5 Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home. The register book may be signed, and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
