Born to Genevieve and Jewel Scoggin on March 2nd, 1962, in Perryton, TX.
He graduated High school in Lewisville TX in 1980, and this is where he settled and began his life working as a carpenter in trades. This is also where he met April who became his wife on July 5th, 1991.
Dana, was a family man who worked hard, loved quietly, and respected every person he spoke to. He spent his time building with his hands, hunting with his friends, and trying to understand the ever-changing world in front of him.
Dana is survived by his wife April Scoggin of Hickory Creek TX, his daughter Courtney Ashpaugh, grandkids Victoria and Tyson of Lubbock Tx, his daughter Karen, spouse, Christopher Williams, grandkids Emmalynn and Callum of Denton, Tx. His sister Dawn Shonk and family of Lake Dallas, TX. as well as his Aunts Doris, Estellene, and Della; and cousins who have remained as friends as well as family throughout his life.
Preceded in death by his parents Genevieve and Jewel Scoggin. Uncle Babe, and cousin's Frank and Boyd Scoggin.
Dana was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin friend. He was loved by so many but respected by so many more. He was a man of intention, morals, and solid Character. Dana lived a life he was proud of. He had a beautiful home, a wonderful family, a job that he was proud of, and a deer lease he could escape to. He was happy, he was loved, and he will be missed.
A funeral service for Dana will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Brown's Funeral Service chapel.
Burial will take place at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
