Daniel L. Schaub a resident of Calera, Oklahoma, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and family member joined his savior on Thursday March 22, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born to Oscar Joe and Catherine Vaughan Schaub in Mankato , Minnesota on November 2, 1936. Daniel married Delilah Bailon in Norwalk, California on July 4, 1965.
Daniel was a veteran and served in the Army Airborne. He came to Oklahoma from California in 2006, and was a truck driver by trade. Daniel attended the Truth Church in Denison, Texas. He enjoyed camping under the stars, and a peaceful morning or afternoon with a fishing pole in his hand.
Mr. Schaub is survived by his beloved wife, Delilah of the home; daughter, Rose Ann Ketchum of Norwalk, California; son, Ernie Dee Johnson of Kingston, Oklahoma; daughter, Renee Lynn Schaub of Menifee, California; siblings, Flossie Sheppard of Madison Lake, Minnesota, Ethel Haley of Madison Lake, Minnesota, Robert Schaub of Rockchester, Minnesota, John Schaub of Pablo, Montana, and Sharon Hartang of Edina, Minnesota; grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson of Crestline, California, Travis A. Schaub of Calera, Oklahoma, Jimmy Ketchum of Norwalk, California, and Michelle Ketchum of LaMarada, California; two great-grandchildren; and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Schaub was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Catherine Schaub; and brothers, Steve Schaub, and Roger Schaub.
Family hour will be at 1-2:00 PM Thursday March 29th before the service at the Truth Church in Denison, Texas . A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Gilbert officiating, burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be Travis Schaub, Jeremy Johnson, Ernie Johnson, Jonathan Tatum, Jim Ketchum, and Jimmy Ketchum. Honorary pallbearer will be Christian Johnson and Julian Johnson.
