Lydia Lievsay Ramsey, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was born in Achille, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 1, 1914, to Jasper and Etta Caroline Brock Lievsay.
Lydia was a homemaker most of her life.
She married Quan Wandun Ramsey on July 14, 1934, in Achille. Together they had eight children.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Robert Jasper Ramsey; two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Ellis and husband Roy of Durant; son, Wendell R. Ramsey and wife Joanne of Mesa, Arizona; daughter, Sandra A. Wade and husband Ted of Yuma, Arizona; daughter, Millard L. Ramsey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Mary Aring and husband Alan of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Dale L. Ramsey and wife Ann of Kearney, Arizona; son, Ronald Ramsey of Phoenix, Arizona and sister, Velma Carroll of Colbert. She has thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma. Bro. Bill Page will be officiating.
Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
