Kenneth Dee Peppers

Kenneth Dee Peppers, 77 of Hendrix, Oklahoma passed away Friday morning July 28, 2017 at Southern Pointe Living Center in Colbert. He was born January 17, 1940 in Mead, Bryan County, OK. to William Dee and Roxie Edith Pratt Peppers.

He was a 1958 graduate of Achille High School and entered the National Guard in 1958. He married Ruth Campbell in Achille Baptist Church March 26, 1959. He lived in Martinez, CA. for 8 years where he was a dry wall builder and painter. He was a member of the Prairie View Baptist Church and was saved March 10, 1965 and Baptized April 11, 1965. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years and the Painters Union for 58 years. He was a member of the Achille school board, and active in Achille FFA programs and Star Basketball player for the Achille Eagles, a council member and past Achille Mayor. Kenneth was a loving leader of his family who he cherished and was a true friend to his friends and was known as "Mr. ESPN" He loved sports OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and playing dominos. He will be missed by all who loved him. This is not good bye just a short separation until Jesus comes

He was preceded in death by Parents, Son Steven Dee Peppers March 15th, 2009; Brothers Clifton and Delton Peppers. Sister Mary Lou Fuller McCallum.

Surviving is his Wife Ruth Peppers of the home for 58 years. Daughter Andrea Peppers and fiance' Jerry Keller of Waxahachie, TX. Four Grandsons Dee Peppers, Ryan Peppers and wife Erika and Great-Granddaughter Rylee Peppers all of Sherman, Michael Peppers and wife Haley of Bonham, TX, and Brett Peppers of McKinney, TX. Four Nephews Ronnie and Debbie Fuller of Hendrix, OK. Gary and Christie Peppers of Denison, Gerald Peppers of TX. and Richard and Donna Fuller. Nieces Delta Tucker of Durant, Rhonda Key of Achille, OK and Sandy Peppers of TX. and Daughter-in-Law Helen Peppers. Many Great nieces and nephews also survive.

A Funeral Service for Kenneth Dee Peppers will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning August 1, 2017 at the Kemp Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille with Masonic and military honors. Pallbearers will be Jason Fuller, Marty Sinor, Gary Peppers, Mitchell Redden, Kim Wingfield, Andy Osborn and David Townsend. Honorary Bearers will be George Cannon, Frank Wingfield, Harold Anders and Bobby Key.

Family night will be held from 6-8 Monday night at Kemp Baptist Church The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
