Funeral services for Mary June Davis Orr, age 73 of Downsville, Louisiana were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Yarnaby Assembly of God in Yarnaby, Oklahoma. Mr. Herbert Davis officiated the service and interment followed at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Orr passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana. Mary June Davis Orr was born on August 29, 1940 in Yarnaby, Oklahoma to Constable John M. "Dolly" and Anna Lee Osborn Davis.
Mary June graduated from Yuba High School in 1959. She married Franklin Dee Orr on January 1, 1960 in Bonham, Texas; he preceded her in death on August 11, 2000.
She retired after working in Dallas, Texas for 33 years as a cashier for Southwestern Life Insurance Co., and is of the Baptist faith.
Mary June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She lived a full and loving life, fought hard and lost a fifteen year battle to Ovarian Cancer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina Orr Pulliam and Michael Wayne Pulliam of Downsville, Louisiana; granddaughter, Brandi Dee Pulliam of West Monroe, Louisiana; grandson, Micah John Pulliam and wife Haley Chop Pulliam of West Monroe, Louisiana; great grandsons, Landon Cole Pulliam and Paxton Lane Pulliam, sister, Elizabeth Ernestine Graham of Garland Texas, sister, Norma Jean Moore of Mesquite, Texas; brother, Jimmy Reed Davis and wife Kathy Davis of Liberty Oklahoma; brother, Dolly Everett "Dee" Davis and wife Mary Davis of Achille Oklahoma; brother, Gary Don Davis and sife Theresa Davis of Kemp Oklahoma and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dolly Everett "Dee" Davis, Shane Davis, Jimmy Graham, Steve Pennington, Michael Pulliam and Micah Pulliam.
Family visitation was on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
