George Thomas Lewallen, 70 of Bowlegs, Oklahoma passed away in his sleep on February 12th, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born September 14th, 1946 in Achille, Oklahoma to Tom Lewallen and Julia Manning Worley.
He served in the Army National Guard and was a plasterer for 40 years up to his retirement. He still worked after retiring owning and operating a tire shop for a few years. He also had a great personality and never met a stranger. He waved at everyone going down the road. He would mow yards free of charge just because he noticed that a yard needed to be mowed. He stopped on the side of the road to help strangers and has helped most everyone in Achille, and many in Seminole and Bowlegs at some point. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father Tom Lewallen; his mother Julia Worley; sister Linda; daughter Sarah Lewallen and his brothers, Bo Gibson and Roger Lewallen.
He is survived by his children Stacy Goodin & husband Craig of Achille, OK; Jarid Taylor of Liberty OK; Kaleb Cockrill of Bells, TX and Harley Goodin of Denison, TX; Chris Lewallen and Serenity Cotty both of Seminole, OK. Numerous stepchildren, family and friends also survive. Funeral Services for George Lewallen will be held Wednesday February 15th, 2017 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma with Larry Metts officiating. No family night was scheduled. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, OK.
