Wayne C. Kelly was born on June 3, 1939 in Denison, Texas to Grady Elton and Alma Lee (Sartor) Kelly and passed away January 31, 2018 at his home at the age of 78.
Wayne married the love of his life, Sondra "Shine" Vickers on August 24, 1968 in Boswell, Oklahoma. Together as one they raised their two sons and began their lives together. "Shine"’ preceded him in death on August 5, 2015. Wayne was farmer by trade and owned and operated Kelly Sod Farm. He loved gardening, farming and watching westerns. His greatest joy in life was his family and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 47 years, Sondra “Shine” Kelly; son, Paul Owen Kelly and sister, Phyllis Sirke.
Wayne is survived by his brother, David Wendell Kelly and wife Beth; son, David Kelly and wife Kerri; grandchildren, Ryan, Casey, Talon and Leah and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Kemp Church of Christ. Jan Kelly will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Achille with Vern Steelman, Roger West, Terry McDaniel, Walter Tibbetts, Jimmy Richards and Clayton Cobbs serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6-7 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
