Sherman, TX- Lana Sherry Hill passed from this life on Monday, November 4th, 2024 at Four Seasons Nursing Center in Durant at the age of 75. Lana was born on Thursday, September 29th, 1949 in Denison, Texas to parents Clarence McDonald and Agnes (Blankenship) McDonald.
Lana grew up and graduated from Achille Public School. She married Richard Rencher shortly after high school and would later marry the love of her life, Thomas Dee Hill, until his passing on July 5th, 2002 after 22 years of marriage. Lana missed Tommy everyday since his death.
Lana was employed as a mailroom associate at Austin College in Sherman for many years. She was a huge cat lover and enjoyed taking care of them. Lana and Tommy loved to go dancing when they could and listening to 50s and 60s music. She also enjoyed going gambling hoping to hit it big one day.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Judy O'Boyle.
Lana leaves behind her sons, Rick Rencher and his wife, Lori, and Randy Rencher and his wife, Janet; a brother, Tommy McDonald and his wife, Donna; and a sister, Brenda Perryman and her husband, Mike.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 8th, at Brown's Funeral Home chapel in Durant with Dr. Mark Allen officiating. Committal services will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille.
The family will visit with friends at 9:00 AM until funeral time on Friday at Brown's Funeral Home.
