Military graveside service for AFCM Thomas Troy Graham, 60, of Durant, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma.
Troy passed away at his home on February 3, 2009. Pastor Jim Pena will officiate.
Troy was born on March 4, 1948 in Sacramento, California to Jesse Troy Graham and Elizabeth Jean Adams Graham.
He began his service to our country by joining the US Air Force in 1966 through 1973 where he worked in aircraft maintenance. He then continued serving in the US Navy from 1973 until he retired in 1997.
He moved to Oklahoma in 1995.
Troy married Patricia Corbett Graham on July 6, 1999 in Denison, Texas. They made their home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Troy loved reading about history and watching old war films.
He was a longtime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Troy was a loving husband and father, but his greatest passion was being Papa to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Johanna Rae Graham Sherrill.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home, sons, Larry Meade and wife Jennifer of Utica, Carl Meade and wife Beverly of Durant, sister, Jan Ward and husband James of Ft. Worth, Texas, grandsons, Chase Stafford and Colin Stafford of Durant, Matthew Meade of Utica, Christopher Compton and Colby Compton of Utica, Troy Gage Meade of Utica and granddaughters, Cassaundra Meade and Zaylee Meade of Durant.
Pallbearers will be Chase Stafford, Colin Stafford, Dean Bennett, Larry Mitchell, Johnny Rutherford, John Vietta and Lynn Dillingham.
Family will be receiving friends at the Graham home at 1708 Smith Street in Durant.
