Services for Opal Grace, of Colbert, who died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in Durant, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Coffey-Murray Chapel, Durant. She was born on March 12, 1918, in Bryan County to Lester and Jesse (Culp) Moore. She married Ted Grace on April 12, 1938, in Karma, Okla.
Opal was of the Baptist faith; she loved to garden, sew and quilt. She made some outstanding western clothing for her family and friends.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 14, 2000, sister Ruth Wall and brother Thomas Paul “Bub” Moore.
She is survived by her son Jimmy D. Grace and wife Sondra of Hendrix; grandsons Morgan Grace and wife Catty of Sherman, Texas, Nathan Grace and wife Libby of Bonham, Texas, and Michael Grace and wife Cynthia of Pittsburg, Pa.; great-grandsons Jimmy Grace III of South Korea, Kipp Grace of Bonham, Texas, Koby Grace of Bonham, Texas, and Michael Grace, Jr., and Matthew Grace, both of Pittsburg, Pa.; and great-granddaughters Candice Grace of Bonham, Texas, and Anyssa Grace of Pittsburg, Pa.
Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille. Nathan Grace, Michael Grace, Sr., Jimmy Grace, Kipp Grace, Koby Grace and Michael Grace, Jr., will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jon Allen Reid and Charles Grace.
