Bobby Gene Emerson

Bobby Gene Emerson was born on December 31, 1932, in Muse, Oklahoma to parents Henry and Mildred Emerson. Bobby passed away on December 12, 2025, at the Clyde Cosper Texas Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas at the age of 92. Bobby served in the United States Army during Korea from 1952 to 1954 until his Honorable Discharge. He later worked as a business owner and retired as a supervisor for a Glass Manufacturer. He married Patsy Emerson on May 2, 1980, and they were united in marriage for 44 years until Patsy's passing on July 22, 2024. Bobby was of the Baptist faith and will be deeply missed.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Patsy; son Doyne Emerson; daughter Pat Emerson; sister Delores and parents and grandparents.

Bobby is survived by his son Keith Emerson of Caddo, OK; son Darius Emerson; brother Cecil Emerson of Ft. Worth, TX; step daughter Ruth Ann Kirk; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday December 17, 2025, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Chaplain Don Fentem will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, OK with Rocky Ayers, Darian Neeley, David Kirk, John Knight, Hayden Emerson, and Karter Emerson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
