Tommy J. Wesberry Sr. was born May 19, 1930 in Portales, New Mexico to Frank and Lela Wesberry. He passed from this life on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, after a short battle with cancer.

Tommy was a retired electrician and a 50 year Mason.

He was one of 16 children, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and card playing. He was a little league coach at the Westside Lions and Ridglea Roughneck football coach in the 60's. Tommy was one of seven remaining players in the 1949 Oklahoma State Champions "Class B" Achille Eagles Basketball Team.

Tommy was also known as papa, pops and Mr. T. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna, his parents, seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his children, Tommy Wesberry Jr. and Wife Ronda, Barry Wesberry and wife Donna; daughter, Terri Yeager and husband Tony; grandchildren, Brooke, Erica, Lauren, Brandon, Kyle, Sydney, Sarah and Audra; great grandchildren, Colby, Madison, Dillon and Donovan; brothers, L.C. and wife Lucretia, Ross and wife Karolyn, Roy and wife Dottie; sisters, Wyoma, Lolita and husband Ralph, Ruth, Mary and husband Don; many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

The family would like to thank Doctors Jason Ledbetter, Scott Bloemendal, Asad Dean Virat Dave' and their staff. Also thanks to Community Hospice and James L. West. A special thank you to "Baby Sister Mary" who was at Tommy's bedside for his last six days.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Rev. Jim Parrish officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Winscott Road Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Scoggins, Randell Wells, Richard Shivers, Lonny "Sonny" Grimes, Cayler Johnson and Stanley Wells. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Yeager, Kyle Wesberry, Chris Wesberry, Roy Davis Jr. and Harold Ray Anders.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Community Hospice of Ft. Worth or The American Cancer Society.

Winscott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
