Shelly Jo (Baldwin) Switzer of Colbert, OK passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Durant, OK at the age of 49. She was born on December 12, 1969 in Anchorage, Alaska to Joseph Hale Baldwin and Lois Ray (McCrite) Baldwin.
Shelly attended Washington Irving and graduated from Calera High School. She worked with her dad in the carpentry business and spent countless hours on different projects. For some time, she worked for a home health agency in Bonham. On April 27, 2013 Shelly married Randy Switzer at East Burns Run in Cartwright. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her horses and she cherished her nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Lois Ray Baldwin and her sister, Kimberly Dawn Baldwin.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Switzer of the home; father, Joe Baldwin; brothers, Billy Baldwin and wife Stacy, Brian Baldwin and wife Jessica; nieces and nephews, Billy Ray Baldwin and wife Rhonda, Jonathan Baldwin, Amanda Baldwin, Sierra Buck, Chailyn Baldwin, Devan Buck, and Luke Baldwin; 4 great- nieces and 2 great- nephews; father and mother in law, Greg and Kathy Plyler 4 sisters in law, Kandace Thrift and husband, Gregory; Amanda Knopes and husband Nathaniel; Brandy Hankins and Cecilia Plyler; brother in law Ricky Switzer and other extended family members and dear friends.
Graveside services to honor Shelly’s life will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Pastor Jacob Toews officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Baldwin, Billy Ray Baldwin, Jon Baldwin, Ricky Switzer, Justin Hankins, Sierra Buck, and Devan Buck. The family will accept friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at First Baptist Church in Calera.
