Ann M. McAlester Stephens of Calera went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born August 13, 1928 in Durant, Oklahoma to Sim Cleveland McAlester and Dinky Pearl Baker McAlester. She was born and raised in Durant and married E. Dee Stephens on March 1, 1946. Ann was a member of the Assembly of God in Calera, liked reading, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, and visiting with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and two brothers.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Steve Stephens and wife Lou of Vernon, Texas and Ricky Stephens and wife Mickey of Marietta, Oklahoma, two daughters, Kathie Patton and husband Michael of Durant and Brenda Brusnahan and husband Mark of Calera, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Bro. David Sanders officiating.
Family night will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Brown's Funeral Service Durant.
