Kathryn Shelley, a cherished family member, left his life in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the age of 84 years 10 months and 10 days. Kathryn was born in Yuba, Oklahoma to Luther and Mary (Kapchinsky) Reynolds on April 4, 1931. Mary married the love of her life Raymond Shelley in Durant, Oklahoma on May 24, 1947.
Kathryn was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Raymond. She was actively involved in the Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, but the most important thing to her was the time she spent with her family.
Mrs. Shelley is survived by her son Gary Shelley of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Albert Reynolds of Durant, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Cora Reynolds of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Michelle of Wilberton, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Joshua Shelley, Taylor Shelley, Anthony Shelley, Johnathan McKinley, Miguel McKinley, Dalton Shelley, Georgia King, and Madison Shelley.
Mrs. Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mary Reynolds; husband, Raymond Shelley; brother, Orville Reynolds; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Reynolds.
Family hour was from 6-7:00 PM Thursday, February 16th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A church service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 17th at the 1st United Methodist Church with Rev. John Breon officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera. Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Randy Reynolds, Dewey Reynolds, Steve Reynolds, Terry Reynolds and Scott Staring.
