Linda Lee Russell, a resident of Calera, Oklahoma, left this earthly life on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the age of 70 years, four months, and nine days. She was born on September 6, 1946 to Floyd and Leona (Fondong) Maddox.
Linda was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. When she was younger Linda worked as a; realtor, hairdresser, and for Texas Instruments/MEMC. She enjoyed the peaceful, quiet solitude of gathering shells, and rocks for her collection. Linda liked to; work in her garden, dancing, traveling seeing new places, and working with her hands crocheting.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her son, James Russell and wife Rebecca of Sherman, Texas; daughter, Kelley Russell & husband Cameron Johnston of Everett, Washington; sister, Betty Corbett and husband Leon of Van Alstyne, Texas; nephews, Michael Corbett and Randy Corbett; brother, Paul Maddox and wife Beverly of Gaylord, Michigan; nephews, Richard Maddox of Gaylord, Michigan and Mathew Maddox of Gaylord, Michigan; great-aunt, Edith Russell of Milan, Indiana; father of their children, William Owen Russell, Jr of Everett, Washington.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Leona Maddox.
Family Hour will be from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 18th at the Holmes~Coffey~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 19th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Rev. Craig A. Davis, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, Oklahoma.
