Peggy Ann (Johnson) Mullens was born on July 25, 1944 in Durant, Oklahoma to Roy Hamilton and Anna (Simpson) Johnson. Peggy passed from this life on May 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her sweet family.
Peggy married Jerry Lyndon Mullens on December 12, 1963 and they were blessed with three children and 53 years of marriage until Jerry’s passing on June 29, 2017. She worked for the Durant Toy Factory and worked for Durant Public Schools as a paraprofessional for 20 years until her retirement. Peggy deeply loved her family and especially her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. She enjoyed shopping, her shoes, running people over with a shopping cart, swimming and she dearly loved her dog 'Flo'.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Mullens; parents Roy and Anna Johnson and sister in law Charlotte Clarkson.
Peggy is survived by her children Michelle Taylor and husband Monty, Jeff Mullens and wife Tammy and Jeremy Mullens and wife Cinnamon; six grandchildren McKenzie Atwell and husband Corey, Stormy Taylor and wife Madelyn, Cody Mullens and wife Jessica, Logan Mullens, Cassidy Mullens, Harlee Mullens and Jake Mullens; great grandchildren Denim Atwell and Stetson Taylor and one on the way; brothers Roy Johnson Jr. and James Johnson; brother in law Randy Mullens and wife LouAnne; her dearest friend Judy Nix and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 28, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Jimmy Parrish will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Jeremy Mullens, Jeff Mullens, Monty Taylor, Cody Mullens, Stormy Taylor, Jake Mullens and Rhett Rogers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Carlton, Roy Johnson, James Johnson, Corey Atwell and Randy Mullens. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-7 PM.
