Services for Pauline E. Pearce Moody, 91, of Calera, who passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Sterling House, Durant, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Dalton-Holmes Chapel. Bros. Tom Adams and Travis Huffman will officiate.
Pauline was born Monday, May 28, 1917, in Childress, Texas, to James Pearce and Sydney Bowles.
She married Woodrow W. Moody on March 10, 1934, in Calera.
She was a long-time resident of Calera.
Pauline was a homemaker most of her life and had worked part time at the Calera Post Office. She lived at the Sterling House in Durant her last ten years.
She was a longtime member of the Calera Church of Christ.
She enjoyed reading, watching baseball and doing word search puzzles. Before Pauline's passing, she was privileged to get to represent five generations in her family.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Don McCollum, brother, Frank Pearce and sister, Lillian Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughter ,Barbara McCollum of Calera; son, Stanley Moody and wife Amy of Parkton, Maryland, grandchildren Cheryl Childers of Topeka, Kansas, Mike McCollum and wife Janet of Calera, James Moody of Oklahoma City and Christopher Moody of Parkton, Maryland, great-grandchildren Brooke Coley and husband John of Durant and Erica McCollum of Calera; great-great-grandchildren Gavin and Blake Coley of Durant and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Larry, Christopher and Drew Adams.
