Troy David McGehee

Troy David McGehee of Calera, OK passed away at his home Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the age of 75. He was born on April 2, 1943 in Calera, OK to Roy B. McGehee and Winnie Ocie (Trammell) McGehee.

Troy attended Fox and Calera Public Schools. After graduating from Calera High School, he furthered his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. From 1961-1965 he served our county in the United States Navy. Troy married the love of his life, Elaine Beaubien on June 24, 1966 in Durant. They spent 52 wonderful years together. He worked as an electrician for Kwikset and retired from there. Troy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calera and would spend his spare time watching his grandsons play ball every chance he was given.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Trammell McGehee and Roy B. McGehee; stepmother, Ruby McGehee, and brother in laws.

Survivors include his loving wife of the home, Elaine McGehee; children, Pam Robinson and husband Scott of Skiatook, OK, Julie Jackson of Calera, OK, and son Michael McGehee and wife Mindi of Cartwright, OK; grandchildren, Alli and Maci Jackson, Bailey and Garrett Robinson, and Grayson and Grant McGehee; 9 siblings, Willie Pennick of Siloam Springs, AR, Dessie Luke of Calera, Roy McGehee of Calera, OK, LeNora Bills of Rogers, AR, Margie Glenn of Calera, OK, Ann Lloyd of Mesquite, TX, Janie Pate of Calera, OK, Martha Goza of Calera, OK and Judy Yarbrough of Mansfield, LA; in laws, Vanitia and Johnny Cook of Kemp, TX, Sandra Duncan of Calera, OK, Larry and Toni Beaubien of Denison, TX and Doyle Beaubien along with extended family members and dear friends.

Services for Troy will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Calera with Pastor Jacob Toews officiating.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with his grandson Garrett Robinson, Riggin Rogers, Brady Henderson, Devon Gunter, Brian Beaubien, and Lance Woodall serving as pallbearers. The family will accept friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the First Baptist Church in Calera.
