Calera, OK- Dovie Elaine McGehee (Beaubien) was born Sunday, January 30th, 1949 in Calera, Oklahoma to William Houston Beaubien and Nellie (Everett) Beaubien. Elaine entered into her Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 from Cartwright, Oklahoma at the age of 73.
Elaine was raised and attended schools in Achille, where she met her best friend Fran, and became a lifelong member of the Wingfield family. She married the love of her life, Troy David McGehee, on June 24th, 1966 in Durant. He precedes her in death on September 5th, 2018. Elaine worked many years for the Colbert and Calera Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, spending time with family and friends, and watching the grandkids play ball. Elaine had a servant’s heart for people and always had a smile on her face. She loved spoiling her grandkids and was thought of as a Nana to most kids in school. Elaine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calera.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, DeWayne Beaubien, Leonard Beaubien, Doyle Beaubien, Kenny Beaubien, Keith Beaubien and Leon Beaubien; and sister, Vanitia Cook.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Robinson and her husband, Scott, of Skiatook, OK, and Julie Jackson of Calera; a son, Michael McGehee and his wife, Mindi, of Cartwright; grandkids, Alli Jackson, Maci Jackson and fiance Collin McDaniel, Bailey Woodall and husband Lance, and Garrett Robinson, Grayson and Grant McGehee; sister, Sandra Duncan of Calera; brother, Larry Beaubien and his wife, Toni, of Denison, TX; and other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 21, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Jason Dyke officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Troy, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Garrett Robinson, Lance Woodall, Brian Beaubien, Riggin Rogers, Collin McDaniel and Stacy Jones, serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services at the funeral home.
