Mable Snider Langham has gone home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in Calera, Oklahoma. She was born July 30, 1916, in Goodwater to William Douglas Snider and Maggie Elizabeth Summers Snider.
She was of Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, father of her children, Wiley Langham, and five brothers, Raymond, John, L. V., Jack and Bob.
She is survived by her four children, Wanda Marie Argo of Eagle Lake, Texas, and Lana Hopkins and Roy Paul of Bokchito, Edward Langham and Nancy of Odessa, Texas, and Elizabeth Walthall and Wayne of Calera. Also surviving are one sister, Georgia Raef of Little Rock, Arkansas, one sister-in-law, Eva Snider of Caddo, and one sister-in-law, Louise Snider of Lubbock, Texas. She has eight grandchildren, Latecia Stockslager and Thomas of Pottsboro, Texas, Michael Argo and DeeDee of LaPorte, Texas, Stanley Hopkins and Kim of Caddo, Brenda Argo of Eagle Lake, Jeff Argo and Darlene of Eagle Lake, Joseph Langham and Monica of New Jersey, Jill Hopkins-Love and Tim of Armstrong, and Roy Lee Hopkins and Miranda of Bokchito. She also has ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and sixteen living nieces and nephews.
Mable was a homemaker for many years, and then went to work as a nurse's aide and later medication aide at the Durant Hospital and Oak Ridge Manor in Durant. She retired her career in nursing from Denton, Texas State School for the mentally handicapped. She also worked for many individuals as a caregiver. All loved and admired her for her work.
Services are at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel Friday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Raymond Coats and Pastor Craig Scavo officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and grandsons.
Family and friends will be received at the homes of Lana Hopkins and Elizabeth Walthall.
