Johnny C. Jones, 82 years old, was born and raised in Durant, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 20, 2024, in Denison, Texas.
Johnny was the proud son of Ruth Cater Robinson and Bud Robinson, both of Durant, Oklahoma. Johnny was born on March 16, 1942. He lived and breathed for his family and God. His work and hobby was building show cars. Johnny and his family did everything together from riding horses, motorcycles, camping, riding doon buggies, boats, antiquing, and showing their show cars that Johnny built.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary L Forbes Jones. His daughters Melaney and husband Mike Brown, and Crystal Jones. Son, Johnny C. Jones Jr., Cindy, and son David. Grandchildren, Johnny Ray Jones, Stormy Jones, and Mitchell Owens. Sisters, Linda Cargal, and Janet McCollum. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Robinson and Bud Robinson, his brother, Steve Robinson, brother in laws Glenn Cargal and Mike McCollum, and his grandparents.
A family visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on September 24, 2024, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma.
Funeral services for Johnny will be held at 2:00 PM on September 24, 2024, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Roger Speers and Darel Bunch officiating.
Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers are Greg Guymon, Craig Goodin, Roy Storey, Jeff Weatherford, Mike Washer, and Jason Talley. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Forbes, Bret Lansdale, Robert Johnson, and David Guymon.
