Services for David Inman, 60, of Colbert, who passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home, will be held Friday, February 15, 2:00 p.m. at Truth Tabernacle Church in Denison, Texas. Bro. David Gilbert and Dr. Eddie Johnson will officiate.
David was born July 26, 1947 in Sherman, Texas to Lloyd and Vida Bassham Inman.
He attended and graduated from Sherman High School and attended Grayson County College and later served his country in the United States Army serving in Vietnam.
He was an electrical supervisor in the construction industry.
He married the love of his life, Michelle on October 5, 1985, in Durant and they spent 22 wonderful years together.
He was a member of the Grayson Bible Baptist Church, the Texas Electrical Construction Utility for 44 years and he enjoyed hunting and playing Texas Holdem. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Vida Inman.
David is survived by his loving wife, Michelle of the home; father, Lloyd Inman of Sherman, Texas; sister, Cindy McVey and husband David of Sherman; sons, David Inman of Sherman and Nathan Inman of Allen, Texas; daughter, Candace Sands of Sarasota, Florida, adoptive sister, Carol Ann Martin of Pottsboro, Texas; adoptive daughter, Shelly "Bird" Gill of Sherman; numerous grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Tom Mills, Gary Bader, Gene Arnett, Glen Perkins, Brandon Perkins, and Michael Calhoun serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The Denison Lakeside Elks Lodge will hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
