Funeral services for Ruby Blackwell Huggins, 91, of Durant, who died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Four Seasons Nursing Center, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Dalton-Holmes Chapel.

She was born Monday, August 5, 1918, in Bokchito.

She was a longtime resident of Oklahoma and was of the Nondenominational faith.

She married her first husband, Eugene Joseph Larose, who preceded her in death. She later married Alford Huggins and he also preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blackwell, daughter, Barbara Despain and son ,Robert Eugene Larose.

She is survived by daughters, Betty Grogan of Fort Worth, Texas and Dean Scott of Quinlin, Texas; sons, David Ray Larose of Brownwood, Texas and Frank Manners, of Quinlin, Texas; sisters, Wilma Woods and Doris Goza, both of Miami, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family.

Brian Stewart, Abel Massey, Glenn Goza, Glenn Trapp, PFC Chris Wyrick, David Babh, Chas Brown and J.P. Pahl will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera.

Family hour will be Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
