Donna Sweeney Howard, departed this life on August 1, 2019 at the age of 81. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday August 6, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas with Father Andrew Semler officiating. Following will be a memorial committal at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma at 3:00 PM.
Donna was born in Bryan County Oklahoma on May 23, 1938 to Abe and Pauline Simmons. She graduated from Calera High School and later married Tal Sweeney.
Donna and Tal were married for 28 beautiful years. They were the proud parents of three children, David Ty, Morgan Zac and Dana Rae. They raised their children on their cattle ranch at Old Allison, Oklahoma.
Donna was a bookkeeper for many years for Spence-Brazos Land and Cattle Company in Durant, Oklahoma. She has two grandsons, Zachary Nathaniel, 17 years old and Jack Ivan, 15 years old.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her son, David Ty Sweeney and wife Querube of Allen, Texas; beloved grandsons; brother, James Simmons of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Joan Stallings of Durant, Oklahoma and Paula Moore of Prescott, Arizona; she is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents Abe and Pauline; husbands, Tal Sweeney and Carroll Howard; son, Zac Sweeney; daughter, Dana Mullins; and brother, David Simmons.
