Mildred Marie Harris

Marie Harris a beloved mother, grandmother, family member, and friend passed on into the arms of her Savior in Magnolia, Arkansas on January 2, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on February 9, 1926 to Wesley and Lillian (Gray) Wilson. Marie married Olen Lynnewood Harris in Durant, Oklahoma on August 21, 1943.

Marie loved to stay active as a member of the Central Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, past Mother of the Order of the Rainbow Girls, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durant, and Magnolia Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Marie loved and appreciated her family and friends, she cherished all the times they spent together.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter, Linda Rollins and her husband Jim of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Pam Vaughn and husband Paul of McNeil, Arkansas; grandchildren. Mandy Hudgens and husband Lee of Magnolia, Arkansas, Lisa Vincent and husband Brad of Bentonville, Arkansas, Crystal Fowler and husband Brian of Taylor, Arkansas, Shannon Vierps and husband Pete of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Bobby Garrett of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Danielle and Allison Vierps; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; along with several nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lillian Wilson; husband O.L. Harris; grandson, Jamie Rowe; brothers, J.W. Wilson, Earl Wilson, Albert Wilson, and Rayburn Wilson; and sisters, Dorothy Roper and Jo Murry.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday January 5th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murrey Chapel with Bro. James Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
