Services for Herbert "Hub" Harmon, 86, Calera, who passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009, in El Reno, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Calera. Rev. Jacob Toews will officiate.
Hub was born on Thursday, July 27, 1922, in Durant, to E.M. and Bertha Corbin Harmon.
He married Yvonne Medell on September 2, 1950, in Durant.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calera, worked for Northern Natural Gas for 33 years as a shift supervisor and enjoyed gardening.
Hub was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his wife of the home; son, Larry Harmon and wife Alice of Cocoa, Florida, daughters, Debbie Hunt and husband Gary of Canadian, Texas, and Doris Harris and husband Richard of Yukon; brother, Roy L. Harmon and wife Clara of Durant; sister, Marie Horn and husband Mike of Farmington, New Mexico, grandchildren, Brent Harmon, Robert Harmon, Daniel Harris, Rachel Moreno, Erica Belluci, Donny Hunt and Amy Pierce; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, with grandsons and one nephew serving as pallbearers.
Family hour will be today from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to your local hospice.
Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
